La Sarmiento
(they/them)
A practitioner of Vipassana meditation since 1998, La is a graduate of Spirit Rock's Community Dharma Leader Training Program, an MMTCP mentor, a contributor to the Ten Percent Happier app, and teacher with the Insight Meditation Community of Washington.
Barbara Newell
(she/her)
Barbara spent 13 years in a monastery before touring as a nun with Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh who also authorized her as a teacher. She spent seven years as a mentor for The Power of Awareness course and was Tara Brach's editor and assistant for three years.
Nicole Jarosinski
(she/her)
Nicole emphasizes the importance of wisdom, integrity, and meditation throughout all aspects of life. A deep interest in early Buddhist texts and contemplative practices informs her personal path and mentorship to others.
Luis Gil
(he/him)
Luis is a meditation instructor with over a decade of experience sharing the practical applications of mindfulness as a vehicle to nurture personal and societal well being, in ways that are fun, engaging and attuned to our modern lives.
Yong Oh
(he/him)
Yong Oh teaches for the Durango Dharma Center and Sacred Mountain Sangha, and leads retreats at the Insight Meditation Society and Spirit Rock. He loves bringing the practice into nature, devotional expression, and supporting communities of color.
Anne Cushman
(she/her)
Anne Cushman is a writer, dharma and yoga teacher, and mother who integrates mindfulness, embodied meditation, and creative expression. Her books include the memoir The Mama Sutra and the novel Enlightenment for Idiots.
David Cabrera
(he/him)
David Cabrera is a musician, martial artist & certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher who blends mindful movement practices into his teachings and meditations. David is of Afro Cuban Asian heritage and co-founded Nashville’s People of Color Sangha.
Sharon Shelton
(she/her)
Sharon is a Certified Mindfulness Teacher, IMTA member, and a Certified Life Coach for over 15 yrs. She offers teachings at the Triangle Insight Meditation Community in Durham, NC, and is a Founding Advisor and Mindfulness Teacher at Cloud Sangha.
Scot Walker
(he/him)
Scot focuses on developing mindfulness meditation and building healthy lifestyle practices. A deep interest in early Buddhist texts helps to inform Scot's personal practice and mentorship to others. Living. Loving. Practicing. Growing. Together. 🙏💞
